Calling all adrenaline junkies and thrill seekers! Kitesurfing season resumes November 1st here at Coconut Bay, and that’s right around the corner. The ideal wind speeds usually stick around until the first of June or so, which means you have seven months of perfect conditions for the kitesurfing adventure of your dreams. Here’s what you can look forward to, thanks to Coconut Bay’s very own Surf Shack, our kitesurfing headquarters.
Visit our Water Sports Complex
Our resort has a fully stocked and fully staffed water sports complex along with our gorgeous private beach. The Surf Shack is just a few minutes from the island’s international airport and offers thrilling kitesurfing off the southern coast of Saint Lucia.
We have a talented, certified team of kitesurfing instructors who will work with you whether you’re a first-timer or a pro. In fact, all guests who are in their pre-teens and teens can enjoy a free kitesurfing “taster” that involves flying a training kite on our beach. If you’re 16 or up, you’ll have the opportunity to take lessons with one of our professional instructors. For those of you who don’t want to wait for one more second to hit the water once you arrive, you can print and fill out our kitesurfing waiver online, so you’re all set to surf.
Lesson Information
The Surf Shack has top-of-the-line kitesurfing and windsurfing equipment for rental by the day or by the hour. For you experienced surfers out there, you’re of course welcome to bring your own equipment as well. We’ll rent you the kite, the bar, the board, and a harness so you can hit the waves in style. Our lessons are available for beginner through advanced kite-surfers, and cost $70-$80 per hour depending on the level of instruction.
Kitesurfing Vacation Packages
Want your nightly rates to include kitesurfing? No problem—book our Surf and Stay vacation. You’ll get everything you would with one of our traditional packages—all-inclusive amenities—plus hours of kitesurfing lessons throughout your stay. Packages and rates vary, so give us a call for details.
Space is limited, so it’s best to make your kitesurfing reservations over the phone before you arrive. However, you can also book kitesurfing at our Adventure Saint Lucia Desk once you get here. Surf’s up!
