While Saint Lucia’s location in the southeastern Caribbean means the island is generally well outside the path of most developing hurricane systems, in the rare case that Saint Lucia is placed under a Hurricane Watch or Warning due to a Category 1 or higher Named Storm—as confirmed by the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) www.nhc.noaa.gov—within ten (10) days of your scheduled arrival, our Hurricane Pledge takes effect to give you peace of mind.
CHOOSING TO DEPART EARLY
Any guest staying at Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa/Serenity at Coconut Bay, who chooses to leave early due to a pending named storm, will be offered the opportunity to apply unused nights towards a future stay at our resorts. In addition, by having an IMG iTravelInsured travel protection plan, you could be reimbursed up to 100% of your trip interruption costs in the event of severe weather or other covered reasons. If an evacuation order is issued for the island of Saint Lucia based on a hurricane/tropical storm watch or warning (issued by the Saint Lucia Meteorological Service), guest(s) will be offered the opportunity to apply unused nights towards a future stay with Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa/Serenity at Coconut Bay. DUE TO ARRIVE
In the unlikely event that your flight to Saint Lucia is canceled due to a Named Storm, you will be allowed to change your dates or rebook your stay at Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa/Serenity at Coconut Bay within one year (12 calendar months) of your original scheduled departure date (rate changes may apply depending on rescheduled dates of travel, room type, season and availability.)

EXTENSIONS
If your departing flight is cancelled due to a pending storm, you may be able to extend your stay at the resort at a special distressed rate. Inquiries should be made with resort reservations and will be subject to availability.
THIRD-PARTY BOOKINGS
Guests who booked through a third party should contact their travel agent or travel booking company for assistance with rescheduling or cancellations and third-party policies regarding changes/cancellations will apply.
REBOOKING TERMS
Rebookings are subject to availability, and blackout dates may apply. Should you choose to rebook the same room category, for the same number of guests, within the same travel season as your original reservation, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa/Serenity at Coconut Bay will honor your original room rate. If your new dates fall within a different season, adjusted seasonal rates will apply, and any difference in cost will be will be adjusted at the time of rebooking based upon room type and availability.
TRAVEL INSURANCE

FLIGHT CHANGES/AIRLINE POLICIES
Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa/Serenity at Coconut Bay are not responsible for actions taken by any airline due to a hurricane/tropical storm watch or warning or other weather-related event. For air tickets booked via the hotel’s website, agents will be happy to discuss alternatives available to you but cannot waive any fees issued by the airline. As each airline will have their own policies regarding weather-related travel disruptions, it’s essential to understand those policies as well. For air travel changes and airfare refunds, please contact the individual airline for their policy under these circumstances.
