Every fall, Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa takes time to invest in the resort during its annual September closure, continuing a tradition of improvements that has become part of the Coconut Bay experience. Returning guests have come to expect that each visit will bring something new, with many enhancements shaped by their feedback and suggestions over the years.
This US$14 million investment in guest rooms is the most significant in Coconut Bay’s more than 20-year history.
With US$7 million dedicated to each wing, all 250 rooms in the adults-only Harmony wing and family-friendly Splash wing have undergone a complete transformation. This multi-year project involved extensive planning, design, and construction, with work carefully phased throughout the year and during annual closures to minimize disruption to guests.
The result is not simply a room update. It is a complete rebuild.
A Complete Rebuild From the Inside Out
The work began long before new furnishings, artwork, and décor were installed. Every room was stripped to its framework. Existing electrical and plumbing systems were removed and replaced, ceilings were taken down, flooring was taken up, and every bathroom was completely rebuilt.
And if there is one place where the scale of the project becomes immediately apparent, it is the bathrooms, now with all-new plumbing, tile, fixtures, vanities, and finishes. Harmony rooms now feature spacious walk-in showers, while Splash rooms include full-size bathtubs.
Electrical systems were updated, allowing for convenient 110V and 220V outlets, modern lighting, ceiling fans, and air conditioning upgrades. New furnishings include lighted vanity mirrors, hutch cabinets with mini refrigerators, comfortable bedding, and practical storage solutions.
Two Worlds in One, Reimagined
Coconut Bay’s Two Worlds in One philosophy continues throughout the redesigned rooms. Every room in both Harmony and Splash is now a Junior Suite, with options ranging from tropical and pool views to ocean views and Concierge Club Level service.
Harmony
The adults-only Harmony wing was redesigned for the many ways adults vacation, from romantic escapes and celebrations to getaways with friends and wellness retreats.
All 125 Harmony rooms have been transformed into Junior Suites featuring contemporary interiors, completely rebuilt bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers, and private patios or balconies overlooking tropical gardens, resort pools, and the Atlantic Ocean, with views toward the Maria Islands Nature Reserve in the distance.
Splash
The family-friendly Splash wing was redesigned around the details that matter most during a family vacation.
All 125 Splash rooms have been transformed into Junior Suites featuring ocean-inspired hues of blue, redesigned interiors, and features designed with families in mind. Certain rooms include artwork featuring sea turtles and tropical fish, while all Splash rooms feature twin trundle beds to provide additional flexibility for families with children.
Full-size bathtubs provide added flexibility after days spent enjoying CocoLand Waterpark or exploring Saint Lucia together. First-floor rooms feature private patios, while the upper floors offer balconies with views of tropical gardens, resort pools, CocoLand Waterpark, and the Atlantic Ocean.
Built for Returning Guests and Those Staying for the First Time
The transformation of Coconut Bay’s rooms represents more than an investment in guest spaces. It reflects a commitment that has guided the resort since opening: to continue improving and evolving for the guests who choose Coconut Bay year after year.
For returning guests, the spirit of Coconut Bay remains the same, with warm hospitality, familiar faces, and something new to discover with every visit. For first-time visitors, these rebuilt rooms offer a new way to experience the resort from the beginning of their stay.
Because while the rooms may be new, the reason behind the investment remains unchanged. It is about creating an even better Coconut Bay experience for every guest.
