COCONUT BAY’S CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY, SUSTAINABILITY AND CONSERVATION INITIATIVES
More and more, our guests want to know about our behind-the-scenes resort activities. How we reuse, reduce, recycle. How we conserve and protect. How we engage as a corporate citizen on our small island paradise. Many of our answers begin with “the help of our staff and guests.” While everyone on our team brings our wide-ranging initiatives to fruition, some have been in place since our launch in 2005 with additions through the years until now. In 2020 our philanthropy efforts were forced to be suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic protocols, but we resumed many programs in 2022. As one of the largest hospitality employers on the south of Saint Lucia, we are committed not only to an exceptional and memorable visitor experience but also to sustaining livelihoods and improving the quality of life for our guests, staff, vendors and neighbors. Our talented team understands that it’s a privilege to be a part of the hospitality industry on our island and welcomes the responsibility it brings allowing us to serve our surrounding community.

RESPONSIBILITY
Coconut Bay is a socially conscious corporate citizen, actively involving staff, stakeholders, and guests in community engagement. Our philanthropic efforts for the past 18 years have improved the lives of the less fortunate, elderly, and youth in Vieux Fort and other southern Saint Lucia villages. Our mission prioritizes the welfare of the environment, finances, and society.
SUSTAINABILITY
We prioritize sustainability to protect our island’s natural resources, benefitting our guests, community, and environment. Our operations focus on energy, waste, and water conservation, while expanding Green Initiatives responsibly to support the local economy. Our commitment to sustainable practices reflects our belief in responsible tourism and our responsibility to leave a positive impact on the planet.
CONSERVATION
To further promote turtle conservation, Coconut Bay has taken additional steps to educate both staff and international guests. We have placed signs and posters throughout the resort highlighting the three species of turtles that nest on our beach and steps guests can take to support turtle conservation. This initiative demonstrates our commitment to promoting environmental education and protecting the local ecosystem.
