Elena + John
Originally from the “Windy City”, John and Elena Engler knew they wanted to get out of Chicago’s cold, snowy winter weather for their romantic Valentine’s Day wedding. After getting engaged in the tropical Bahamas a year earlier, the excited couple dreamed of a beautiful Caribbean wedding and found that Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa in Saint Lucia would give them everything they had ever hoped for and more.
White, Turquoise and Beach All Over
With breathtaking ocean views, the calming sound of crashing waves, and the tropical Caribbean backdrop, John and Elena happily discovered that Saint Lucia was the perfect destination for their beach-themed wedding. The couple chose turquoise and white as their wedding colors, which were added as beautiful details to their flowers, the cake, John’s tie, and their beachy wedding decor.
To Top It Off
The most customized touch at the Engler wedding was by far the wedding cake. Elena had several pictures of what she knew she wanted (blue with seashells and corals falling off the side). She sent her vision to her wedding coordinator, Barbara, and was blown away by the final product. The cake was more beautiful than she had ever imagined and she was thrilled to be be able to top it off with her very own wedding cake topper. Along with the fantastic looking and richly delicious chocolate and vanilla cake, the rest of the food was equally amazing. Complements to the chef!
Ride Away Into the Sunset
John and Elena wrote their tear-worthy vows together in their wedding suite. “With love in the air and the calming sound of the ocean, it really set the mood to write our wedding vows,” said the bride. Sharing the day with close friends and family made their fairy-tale wedding even more special. As her something old and something borrowed, Elena wore a beautiful yellow diamond ring borrowed from her family.
The couple’s favorite Saint Lucia experience was their Coconut Bay Sanctuary Spa treatment. A calming oceanfront massage in the beautiful beach cabana was the perfect way to begin the next chapter of their lives together. Elena was above all impressed with the Coconut Bay staff, especially their wedding coordinator, Barbara, who was able to make all of their wishes come true. Elena raved that “the best part of the Coconut Bay wedding was the staff that helped put it together. They all came together and listened to all of our ideas, and really made our special day the most incredible day ever.”
