You might think the tale of a charming gentleman wooing a Southern belle only exists in movies. If so, you’ve clearly never been to Coconut Bay. It was on the shores of our Caribbean beach that Ms. Bridgette Richardson and Mr. Kevin Weiss — both hailing from Dallas, Texas — became man and wife.
Bridgette and Kevin first met through mutual friends in Dallas at a pub called Ringo’s. Their relationship blossomed, and eventually Kevin decided to put the “ring” in Ringo’s and propose to his beloved.
The couple was eager to start their lives together, so they planned a wedding — with the help of their Coconut Bay wedding planner Sarai — in fewer than 60 days!
Simple, to the Point, and All about Them
The future Mr. and Mrs. Weiss did some research online and fell in love again, this time with Coconut Bay. They saw our amazing, one-stop-shopping wedding packages and admired our many posts of the happy couples who have come before them. They also saw our alluring Eternity Beach venue and immediately knew we were the place. They called right away to book the occasion along with dinner on the beach.
We put the couple in touch with one of our dedicated, professional wedding planners. The Weisses hit it off with Sarai — their planner — who committed herself to making the event entirely about them and their incredible love. They wanted something simple and to the point. Sarai knew exactly what to deliver.
The Personal Touch…the Weiss Playlist
The Weisses love music, and the songs they love make the soundtrack to their romance. Their wedding; their day. Dinner on the white sands of the Caribbean Atlantic certainly made their nuptials something to remember.
Their special playlist was the icing on the cake. When asked what made their wedding uniquely theirs, the Weisses answered, “Our playlist made it a perfect night. So fun, upbeat, all meaningful.” Our wedding planners have done so many weddings, but what they did for the Weisses illustrates how personal each of our events is.
Bridgette and Kevin’s Unforgettable Day
Bridgette and Kevin are gluten-free, and there’s nothing our Coconut Bay planners can’t accommodate. Sarai wanted to deliver a once-in-a-lifetime dinner on the beach for the happy couple, and she managed to do it without any gluten. The Weisses are health-conscious and requested a gluten-free wedding dinner, which we happily accommodated.
The couple arrived to their ceremony especially relaxed, thanks to their beach-side couple’s massage in one of our spa cabanas. Although the Weisses decided to elope to make things less complicated — with the approval of all their family and friends — they instantly made many new friends upon arriving in Saint Lucia. Those friends later served as attendees of and witnesses to their wedding, which created treasured memories for all.
Barefoot? Borrowed? Blue?
The bride humorously reported that, although she wanted to go barefoot, she was a little too short. Instead, she made the wise decision to wear a pair of Badgley Mischka shoes she bought years ago, just knowing that they would be her “wedding shoes.” How right she was! The groom, with plenty of height on his side, went barefoot.
Mr. and Mrs. Weiss, we wish you the best of luck on your journey of love and destiny.
