One of the biggest perks of our all-inclusive dining is that you can eat something different every night you spend with us and still have dishes left to try! Our chefs offer a dizzying, and delicious, array of options that might leave you not even knowing where to start. Thankfully, our Facebook fans have been nice enough to offer our future guests a little culinary guidance. Here is what our past guests had to say to future guests when asked the question, “What would you say are the must-eats at Coconut Bay?”
You Can’t Go Wrong at Calabash
Our Facebook friends raved about almost everything at our most popular restaurant, Calabash, which serves guests authentic Caribbean and Creole cuisine. Rebecca Finlinson recommends the filet steaks, which she called “to die for.” Mr. and Mrs. Tuffo, on the other hand, give Calabash’s lamb chops and coconut cream pie four enthusiastic thumbs up. Wondering what to wash that dessert down with? Take Mr. Tuffo’s advice and go with the Spanish coffee, which he recommends with any Calabash dessert.
Pizza, Pizza!
Our beach grill, located right next to our swim-up pool bar, is always a guest favorite for lunch. Our Facebookers had high praise for the beach grill’s famous brick-oven pizza, which is hand-tossed and cooked to perfection. Furthermore, it is made-to-order with an extensive selection of toppings giving a whole new meaning to “personal” pizza. The pizza is so good, in fact, that guest Ryan Hurley wrote on our page that he ate it every day he stayed with us. He’s not alone in that — Taliye Corley confessed the same!
Crowd Favorites: Our French Toast and Chicken Sandwich
The two dishes that popped up over and over on our Facebook post as a guest favorite are the Aunti Em’s Famous French toast and the aptly titled World’s Best Chicken Sandwich. To understand how good our bananas-Foster-topped Em’s French toast is, just read what Mr. M.L. Hartmann had to say about it. Apparently, Mr. Hartmann’s 10-year-old son is such a picky eater that he and his wife worried he would go hungry. Those worries vanished the second their son devoured Miss Emmy’s French toast! He loved it so much that he even hugged and thanked Miss Emmy personally!
Last but not least, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention our guests’ love for our World’s Best Chicken Sandwich. Needless to say, it lives up to its name. Facebooker Jeff Ryan says, “The World’s Best Chicken Sandwich is the bestest!”
We want to thank all our friends who took the time to post their favorite Coconut Bay dishes. We look forward to seeing them again and to meeting you soon!
