Shannon and West exchange vows on Eternity Beach.
Shannon and West’s Love Story
Shannon and West’s love has always been surrounded by water, so it was all too fitting that their wedding took place ocean side at Coconut Bay, Saint Lucia. The two met seven and a half years ago while working at a restaurant that overlooked the water. To West, Shannon had always just been his little brother’s friend, but when the two finally started working together their connection was instantaneous.
The fast friends got to know each other on a walk along the water that ended in a nearby gazebo one evening after work. Shannon loved West’s sense of humor and he loved her thoughtful, caring personality. The rest, as they say, is history! Years later, Shannon and West took that same walk along the shoreline, up a rock cliff to that very gazebo overlooking the water when West proposed to Shannon (and she said “Yes!”).
The happy newlyweds make it official. Congrats Shannon and West!
Day-of Details
Shannon and West’s destination wedding was a day that they will never forget. Even though they were far away from home on the beautiful island of Saint Lucia, personal touches made every aspect of their big day extra special. With Shannon’s Sottero and Midgley dress, she (and her bridesmaids) wore jewelry made by her Nana and Old Navy flip-flops that Shannon bedazzled herself – perfect for the sandy walk down the aisle! West, a huge football fan, even did the garter toss with a football.
The couple’s Coconut Bay Resort day-of coordinator, Barbara, made sure that Shannon and West’s purple and lime green color scheme was just one of the many custom options that made their wedding day unforgettable. The couple chose the perfect vows to express their love for each other and a custom playlist to set the mood. Barbara also made sure to include an “In Memory Of” spot in honor of Shannon and West’s loved ones who could not be there to witness their ceremony.

“Perfect” is exactly how Shannon described everything about her Coconut Bay destination wedding. From the staff to the food to the weather, the whole day went off without a hitch. The couple hopes to return to Coconut Bay Resort with their future children one day – maybe even to renew their vows!
