The happy newlyweds enjoyed a fully catered reception and open bar at Coconut Bay.
The best relationship advice Lisa and Corey have ever received is to never give up on each other. That’s something the couple has carried out from the time they were growing up together and into their marriage – where they vow to never go to bed angry and always kiss goodnight. Lisa and Corey grew up in the same small town and had always known each other. In fact, Lisa first had a crush on her now husband when she was 16 years old! (Now that’s what we call not giving up.)
After running into each other and making a deeper connection years later, the two realized they were a match made in heaven. Ten blissful years followed before Corey surprised Lisa with a delicious dinner and romantic proposal. Corey made the proposal personal by asking for her hand in marriage with a custom ring made from diamonds he had given Lisa throughout their dating years.
A Tropical Destination Wedding at Coconut Bay
The staff at Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa in Saint Lucia made sure these sweethearts had a destination wedding just as personalized as Lisa’s wedding ring. The couple was especially impressed by their Coconut Bay wedding coordinator, Terencia, who went above and beyond to ensure their wedding was nothing short of magical; and with the ceremony held in a beautiful gazebo overlooking the water and an all-inclusive tropical reception, how could their big day have been anything but?
Along with her gorgeous Essence of Australia wedding gown and Vivah jewelry (her “something new”), Lisa added her own personal touch by carrying her grandmother’s rosary around the handle of her bouquet (her “something old”). Saint Lucia was the perfect backdrop for the couple’s tropical wedding theme. Fuchsia and tangerine details played well with the Birds of Paradise flowers that adorned both Lisa’s bouquet and their gourmet cake.
A Perfectly Catered Coconut Bay Wedding Reception
Lisa and Corey gave these the steel drums a try – a true Caribbean-style reception!
Lisa and Corey raved about their all-inclusive Coconut Bay wedding reception, and the highlight for them was the food. From the deliciously endless options provided for the couple’s upscale buffet dinner to the private, open bar, everything about the reception matched Lisa and Corey’s fun-loving personalities. Lisa was especially impressed with the attentive wait staff and friendly bartender, Melton. The bride said she felt like then entire staff was an extension of her family and friends attending the wedding. That is exactly what sets destination weddings at Coconut Bay apart – the care and attention to detail displayed by everyone on staff.
