b'Congratulations to Coconut Bay on its 20th Anniversary!My name is Leila Leon and I am the daughter of Gemma Edwin who is the Finance Manager of Coconut Bay Beach Resort & Spa. My mother has been employed with Coconut Bay since 2017. As a result of her employment, our family has benefitted substantially. My mothers employment with Coconut Bay affords me many opportunities for self-development. In 2021 I wrote the Com-mon Entrance exam and scored the highest in district six. My academic potential was recognized by Coconut Bay and I was awarded a scholarship as a result. For me it was more than a scholarship, it was an investment into my education and once again I say a huge THANK YOU.I have also been privileged to complete a four weekinternship program at the resort during the summer of 2022. This program was specifically designed by the Personnel department to accommodate children of employees. The soft skills and on the job training that I received during that time has undoubtedly developed me wholistically and further nurtured my love for my mothers workplace. On an annual basis we also receive back to school packages from the resort. These packages provide most of the suppliesthat we need for the upcoming school year, significantly reducing our expenses.My mother is very involved in the philanthropic work that Coconut Bay undertakes. These philanthropy initiatives are a family thing to me; and so I am equally involved in every project. I join the Coconut Bay team annually for the Santa Train and Hamper drive and I was part of the ABC Funhouse project that began last year to name a few. My mother is big on giving and it is nothing short of a miracle that she has found a place of employment that aligns with her values well, our values.As the daughter of an employee, I can say indisputably that Coconut Bay has substantially contributed to the quality of life that I have today.
