Airport Transportation

Transportation from Hewanorra International Airport is included in the package cost for all guests of Coconut Bay. If you’ve made your reservation directly, please email flight information to reservations@cbayresort.com and we will take care of arranging transfers. If your reservation was made through a travel agent or a tour operator, we will expect your arrival. When you arrive at the airport, you will collect your baggage, clear customs and then exit through the one main door. Once outside of the door, you will see our welcome kiosk with the Coconut Bay logo on it; simply walk up, check in with the representative and they will take care of your transportation to the hotel.

Alcoholic  Beverages

Cognac is not served. Napoleon brandy is served while Heineken beer and the local beer ‘Piton’ is served on tap… No bottles. Legal drinking age is 18.

Are beach/pool towels provided for the resort’s guests?

There are towel huts around the resort. The three locations to pick up beach/pool towels are Harmony Bar, Blue Bar and Splash pool deck near lazy river.

Babysitting

Babysitting is available after hours (5pm & onwards). For one child is US $12 per hour. 2 – 3 children is US $24 per hour. If you require babysitting services past 11pm, then there is an additional charge of US $20 to cover the cost of the taxi cab for the staff member, as public transportation is no longer available at this time. Private babysitting services require reservations 24 hours in advance. St. Lucia VAT (sales tax) is not included and will apply to babysitting services.

Cancellation Policy

21 December 2015 – 04 January 2016:   45 days or less notice, full cost of stay penalty

05 January 2016 – 15 April 2016:   21 days or less notice, 2 nights cancellation penalty
16 April 2016 – 20 December 2016:   14 days or less notice, 2 nights cancellation penalty
21 December 2016 – 04 January 2017:   45 days or less notice, full cost of stay penalty
No Show: Full cost of stay

Car Seats

Car Seats are not required in Saint Lucia; therefore they are not provided. Should the guests require a car seat, they may bring their own.

Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in starts at 3:00pm; Check-out by 11am.

CocoLand Kids Club / CocoKidz

CocoLand and CocoKidz caters to children from infants to teens and offers a variety of daily supervised activities.

Hours of Operation:

• Infants & Toddlers (0-3): 9:30am – 5pm (Break for Lunch)

• Children (4-12): 9:00am – 5:00pm (Break for Lunch & Dinner)

Day Passes

Day passes are available (subject to availability) for purchase and require reservations in advance. Costs are as follows:

  • Adults: US $125 per person
  • Teens (ages 13-17): US $68 per person
  • Kids (ages 3-12): US $56 per child

*Day Pass Rates include meals in buffet restaurant or beach grill, beverages and cocktails from operating bars, access to pools, entertainment, beach area and waterpark. Passes are valid for the hours of 10 am – 5 pm. Rooms are not included.

Deposit Policy

For direct bookings, a deposit of US $150 per person is required at time of booking and final payment is due 45 days prior to arrival at the hotel.

Kitesurfing

Within an hour of landing in St. Lucia, water sports enthusiasts can be flying on the ocean at Coconut Bay’s kitesurfing center or Surf Shack where constant prevailing winds create one of the world’s best wind sport destinations. NOTE: Kitesurfing in St. Lucia is a seasonal sport and extra fees do apply for equipment rental and instruction. Paintball

Coconut Bay’s newly renovated and expanded paintball course is offered to all resort guests. Inquire at the tour desk in the lobby to schedule your match. Paintball packages from $14 per a person. Pool Depths

• Swim up pool: 0 entry, 2ft 6″, 3ft 9″

• Lazy River: 3ft 9″

• Pool next to lazy river: 4 ft 1″

• Bottom pool – Slides: 3 ft 6″

• Top pool / plunge pool – Slides: 4 ft

• Main Pool: 3 ft 6″

• Adult Pool: Front end – 2ft 6″, Back End – 3ft 6″

Restaurant Dress Code

For Coconut Walk Buffet Restaurant and Capri: Casual Caribbean; shorts and flip-flops are acceptable. Resort evening wear is the attire suggested for Silks and Calabash (a la carte restaurants.)

Acceptable attire includes:

• For Gentlemen – sport slacks, khakis, jeans (no cut-offs), collared sport shirts, dress shoes

• For Ladies – casual dresses, casual skirts or pants and blouses, summer dresses, capri pants,

jeans (no cut-offs).

Not permitted in Silks and Calabash: shorts, gym shorts, t-shirts, beach flip-flops, bathing suit attire, cut-off jeans, sleeveless shirts for men, sportswear or baseball hats.

SHOPPING

Coconut Bay offers two outlets for our guests to purchase souvenirs and sundries during their stay.

The resort Boutique is located on the second floor just up the stairs adjacent to Coconut Walk.
Hours are 9 am – 10 pm Daily Ext. 4020

The sundries shop, known as the Corner Store is located on the ground floor at the end of the lobby on the left.

Operating hours are 8 am – 10 pm Daily Ext 4022.
In addition, two days per week (Tuesdays & Saturdays) the resort allows local vendors to display their arts, crafts and souvenirs for guests to purchase.

STORING VALUABLES

Electronic safes are provided in every resort room to store valuables, passports, currency and small electronic devices. Guests can follow instructions provided on each safe to set a unique PIN code for the duration of their stay.

Taxes & Tips

While taxes and gratuities are already included in our All-inclusive package, guests may choose to reward our staff additionally for prompt and exceptional service.

Voltage

The voltage of most electrical outlets on resort is 220/50 Hz, so guests are recommended to travel with a converter. A British 3-pin plug (which are available for sale at any electronics store pre-travel) will suffice. Recent renovations on resort did include the addition of 110V outlets (higher room categories only) however, converters are still recommended.

Water Slides

Riders should be 48 inches tall to ride on their own or they can ride with a parent.

What currency is best to bring to the resort?

All prices at the resort are quoted in US Dollars and this currency is widely accepted throughout the island also. If you are going on any excursions, the resort team will be able to best advise you on the currency to take with you. Should you require EC Dollars then the reception team at resort will be able to exchange your currency for you. However this can only be changed from US Dollars to EC Dollars and will be done so at the rate of exchange of the day.

WiFi Access

The resort offers FREE WiFi in the lobby area. Also computers are available in the internet café / business center for public use.
